Mixer view
To access the Traktor Module’s MIXER view, tap on the Mixer Icon on the module’s side menu:
This is the MIXER view:
EQUALIZER
Equalize or kill (mute) any of the following frequency ranges in a track: LO / MID / HI.
Slide faders up to increase the percentage/value up or down to decrease the percentage/value of any of the three parameters (LO / MID / HI).*
Double tap the center line of each parameter to reach the 0% value without having to slide to zero with your fingers in order to reach the track’s original level of that parameter faster.
Tap KILL to mute any or all three parameters.
*NOTE: On the top left corner of each parameter there is a percentage number to assist you with the level of added or subtracted equalization.
VOLUME
The VOLUME fader brings up or down the loudness level of your track. Slide the fader up or down to affect the level of VOLUME per track.
When you fade or tap to the very top level of the VOLUME the track will be the loudest.*
When you fade or tap to the very bottom level of the VOLUME the track will be muted.
*NOTE: The VOLUME can only be as loud as your GAIN level. Refer to the GAIN section for more information.
FILTER
Apply a quick low-pass or high-pass filter to the track by moving the FILTER fader downwards or upwards, respectively.
Enable the FILTER by tapping on Low-pass
or Hi-pass
Disable by tapping again.
Low-pass filter your track by tapping and moving the FILTER fader upwards from -100% (full effect) to 0% (no effect).
Hi-pass filter your track by tapping and moving the FILTER fader upwards from 0% (no effect) to 100% (full effect).
MIXER SHIFT mode
The MIXER SHIFT Mode gives you access to additional control parameters.Tap SHIFT to enter.
This is your MIXER SHIFT mode.
MONITOR
Adjust the volume level for your headphones by sliding or tapping the MONITOR fader. Pre-listen to another track over the internal TRAKTOR mixer.
Tap or slide the MONITOR fader up or down to bring the level of volume up or down.
KEY
Traktor analyses your track and detects the KEY that the music is in. With KEY you can control the pitch of a playing track without affecting its tempo. KEY can be used for harmonic mixing.
KEY control has to be activated or deactivated by pressing the LOCK button.
In the center position, the track is played at the original
pitch.
Sliding the fader up or down adjusts the pitch up or down.
GAIN
Each track has a perceived loudness based on its musical properties. The GAIN value established during the analysis process, provides an estimate for the optimal setting of your track.
Enable the Auto-GAIN function in Traktor to give control of the GAIN levels for all of your tracks to the software.
Disable the Auto-GAIN function in your Traktor to keep control of the GAIN levels for all of your tracks.
